Jax Coopersmith is a rising saxophone artist and composer making waves in the New York music scene. While honing his craft at NYU’s prestigious Jazz Studies Program, Jax performs all across New York with his band “The Jax Experience”. Taking inspiration from artists such as Jacob Collier, Herbie Hancock, and Kenny Garrett, Jax merges jazz fusion, hip-hop, and j-pop styles to create new stories and a unique live experience. In 2025 Jax opened for Samara Joy at the Grammy U & DEI Showcase and was featured in Billboard Magazine. Creating community through energy and sound, Jax is always looking to push the boundaries of music and his artistry.

Swingin' At The Sax Shop embodies the future of jazz and hip-hop music. When you listen to it it's like a party! Filled with excitement and energy it features a rapper, horn section, and colorful harmonies. It combines influences such as Charlie Parker, Earth, Wind, & Fire, Kenny Garrett, and Jacob Collier, and represents my sound as an upcoming young artist in New York.
